Puerto Vallarta: Where Every Sunset Tells a Story

The first stop on our journey is the vibrant Puerto Vallarta, where every sunset seems to whisper tales of love and liberation. What makes it extra special for our fabulous ladies over 40? Well, most of the buildings here don’t have steps, so your knees will thank you for the ease of exploring. And let’s not forget the spas – they have this magical power to make you feel as young as you look. Trust me, I came out looking 18 again!

First let me give you a fun LGBT friendly spot so you can go see the boys and the girls and feel right at home.

Elixir Bar: A Lesbian-Owned Oasis in Puerto Vallarta

Nestled within the vibrant heartbeat of Puerto Vallarta, Elixir Bar emerges as more than just a watering hole; it’s a sanctuary where spirits meet, and stories flow like the waves kissing the nearby shores. Owned by two vivacious lesbians who’ve infused their passion into every corner, Elixir Bar welcomes you with eclectic decor and a rich cultural ambiance. The vibrant hues and rhythmic beats create a lively yet inviting atmosphere. Here, skilled bartenders craft libations that dance on your palate, from classic cocktails with a twist to innovative creations inspired by local flavors. The Ladies play here all day so stop by!

Brunch Recommendation: Coco’s Kitchen After a leisurely morning stroll along the Malecón, head to Coco’s Kitchen for a brunch that combines seaside views with culinary delights. Picture yourself sipping mimosas with your toes in the sand or indulging in their famous chilaquiles while the ocean breeze kisses your skin.

Open Mic Recommendation: Incanto For a musical evening, Incanto is the place to be. Enjoy performances from local artists and if you’re an open mic’er like me..perhaps even share your own story on this intimate stage. That’ll give you a reel to upload to social media.

Belize: Caribbean Bliss and Underwater Adventures

Next up, we venture to the Caribbean jewel of Belize. It’s not just about the stunning views; Belize is an underwater paradise, perfect for those who want to dive into a new adventure—literally. And for our over-50 queens, the calm Caribbean vibes offer a rejuvenating escape, both above and below the surface. No one is in a rush in Belize so the mellow vibes are perfect for us.

First stop…head that golf cart to Sweet Ting..Sweet Ting is a delightful LGBT-owned bakery in Placencia, Belize. Known for its delicious treats and welcoming atmosphere, it’s a great spot to satisfy your sweet tooth and support the local LGBT community. And if you’re like me and cakes and cookies aren’t really your thing head to San Pedro for the Rainbow Grill and Bar it is a friendly and vibrant LGBT-owned spot. It’s a great place to enjoy delicious food, refreshing drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Brunch Recommendation: Secret Garden Restaurant Start your day at the Secret Garden Restaurant, nestled in the heart of San Ignacio. This charming spot offers a brunch that’s a feast for the taste buds, with Caribbean flavors and a laid-back atmosphere. It’s the perfect setting for a civilized day party with your favorite ladies.

Open Mic Recommendation: Drift Inn, located in San Pedro, Belize is not just a place to enjoy music; it’s a stage where everyone is invited to become a part of the performance. The island’s vibrant community, as well as visiting travelers, come together during Drift Inn’s legendary open mic nights. Under the starlit Belizean sky, the stage becomes a canvas for storytellers, poets, and musicians to share their craft. It’s a night where the boundaries between performer and audience blur, creating a shared experience that lingers in the hearts of those who join in. So, fellow wanderers, when you seek an authentic Belizean melody and a stage where your story can become part of the island’s rhythm, let the gentle drift guide you to the melodic shores of Drifters—a place where every chord resonates with the laid-back spirit of Belize.

Costa Rica: Pura Vida in the Lap of Nature

Our journey continues to the eco-paradise of Costa Rica, where “Pura Vida” isn’t just a phrase; it’s a way of life. For our wise and wonderful ladies, Costa Rica’s commitment to sustainability means you can bask in the lap of nature without compromising on comfort. Imagine hidden waterfalls, delicious farm-to-table meals, and a wellness experience that resonates with the spirit of our community.

Costa Rica: Arenas Del Mar Beachfront & Rainforest Resort

Arenas Del Mar Beachfront & Rainforest Resort, located in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica, is a sustainable and LGBT-friendly resort. It offers stunning views, eco-friendly practices, and a warm atmosphere for all guests.

Brunch Recommendation: Silencio del Campo As we venture into Costa Rica, make your way to Silencio del Campo in La Fortuna.
